The Cup of Odysseus.

In the Odyssey, Odysseus is returning home to his beloved wife Penelope. Guided by the Goddess Athena.

In my portrayal Athena is the Solar Current, Penelope the Luna, they are both manifestations of One woman.

...

One representing the childlike warmth, joy and innocence of Love (The Sun) And the other, the sensuality and romance (The Moon)

In the Odyssey,

even Calypso and Circe can be manifestations of the same feminine energy, like shadows of Athena and Penelope.

Calypso is cold and unfeeling, and Circe is Madness.

Circe (Madness) is like a shadow of Athena's Divinity, and Calypso (Coldness, Death) is like a shadow of Penelope's loving warmth.

In the Kabbalah tree of life, the path of Temperance (Samech) is like a Knight on a path between Death (Nun) and the Devil (Ayin).

Athena/ Penelope are like the Knight, the Samech.

Calypso is like Death.

and Circe is like the Devil.

Perhaps the manifestations and shadows of One person.

The Dance of Lovers.

Next to each Cup, are Coins. Odysseus's coin has a head of Athena, and Athena's Coin has a tail of  Odysseus. Each  King and Queen.

THE LABYRINTH- OVID'S METAMORPHOSIS;

People are either like Cats or Dogs- they either live for Love, or serve Masters.

One is a life of Freedom- the other, Slavery.

Ultimate Freedom is to Live Love, including Self Love.

Slavery, is serving possessions, money, addictions, and illusions of Love that excludes ones self.
 A Life of prisons.

Cats don't serve, Cats are Masters.

Cats have Self Love- the dog will be chained and serve regardless of what happens to them.
Real Love includes Self Love.

A Cats Life is a life of Freedom.

Everything Cats do is for Love, basking in the Sun in eternal Ecstasy, exploring the universe in Gardens, Giving and receiving Affection in Blissful Contentment...

But they will not be mistreated, they have Value for themselves and their Existence.

Ecstasy in Love, includes Self Love.

Ariadne's Crown- Corona Borealis.

Love is Joy.

Ariadne was heartbroken, deserted by Theseus, after helping him out of the Labyrinth. Dionysus rediscovered her and crowned her as his Queen, with stars from the heavens- constellation Corona Boreallis, infinitely in the night sky.

                              Passionate Dionysus, Bacchus was the most faithful of all the Gods.

Ariadne, like the Vitruvian Man, forms the Five Pointed Star of

                                                                      Resurrection.

Her Five points are exalted, healing and liberated (Hands Feet Crown)

                                                                          Like a Star.

The Ladder is from the story of Jacobs Dream- Jacobs Ladder- which is as the Spine (the letter Kuf, back of the head and spine..)

And the Kundalini is raised up the spine- achieving Awakening, Enlightenment and Liberation of  the Soul. Universal Consciousness.

A healing Caduceus (formed by the Ladder-Spine and snakes Kundalini.)

In the Clouds above Ariadne,

 are each of the seven Virtues.

The Eleusinian Mysteries.

Goddess Ceres and her Daughter Persephone.

 The cycle of Rebirth, and Seasons of Celebration.

Flowing from Ceres Cup, is Honey, which weds with Milk pouring from a Cow in the clouds.

The Summer Triangle;

The Constellations Cygnus (Swan), Aquila (Eagle) And Lyra (Vulture).

 In Qixi, Chinese Magpie Festival, The Stars Vega and Altair (From the Constellations Lyra and Aquila) are Lovers separated by the Milky way flowing between them. Magpies form a bridge so the Lovers can reunite and embrace.

Above forming the Milky way is the Sacred Cow Hathor.

 In parts of China, cows were released if they cried before slaughter, as they couldn't kill an animal that showed human emotion.

Hindus believe both the Cow and Bull are Sacred...and Devi- Goddesses, live inside cows.

Shivas bull Nandi, drank poison intended for Shiva, which is why the throat chakra is blue.

Cows are thought of to be creatures that just Give, like great Mothers.

Hari Krishnas share the same belief.

Cows are beautiful, Divine Creatures. Great Mothers.

At the bottom of the window, are statues of Persephone, and a Bull cracking out of China.

The Elephant in the mirror, is symbolic of reflections- memories. A violin sits in a makeup case,  Echo and Narcissus.

Alchemical Marriage.

In the center of the perfume bottles, is a bottle of Samsara perfume. In its shadow, are animals from Buddhist Samsara, the ring of suffering- pig, snake and rooster. Symbolic of Greed, Hatred and Ignorance. Vanity, and its shadow.

A Narcissus flower emerges from the gold heart at the bottom corner. 

Twins, Pollux and Castor, jump out from Leda's Cup, her Womb.
